Pro spr\u00e1vn\u00e9 zabarven\u00ed n\u00e1poje je pak p\u0159id\u00e1n pelyn\u011bk \u0159\u00edmsk\u00fd a yzop l\u00e9ka\u0159sk\u00fd. V\u00fdroba se pln\u011b rozb\u011bhla a\u017e v roce 1805, kdy se z\u00e1vod na v\u00fdrobu absintu p\u0159emis\u0165uje do Francie. Ji\u017e v roce 1850 vyr\u00e1b\u011bla 20 000 litr\u016f absintu denn\u011b. P\u0159esto\u017ee byl recept st\u00e1le stejn\u00fd, rozd\u011blil se absint na 3 kategorie podle technologick\u00e9ho postupu. Obsah alkoholu se pohyboval od 45-72 objemov\u00fdch procent. Obliba tohoto n\u00e1poje tolik vzrostla, \u017ee se pod\u00e1val ve v\u0161ech kav\u00e1rn\u00e1ch i kabaretech. Bohu\u017eel s rostouc\u00ed oblibou, rostl i n\u00e1r\u016fst nekvalitn\u00edch absint\u016f, kter\u00e9 neobsahovaly \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 byliny a ani technologie se nepodobala origin\u00e1ln\u00edmu n\u00e1poji. P\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b se jednalo o syntetick\u00fd l\u00edh, kter\u00fd byl obarven\u00fd syntetick\u00fdmi barvivy. Specifick\u00e1 chu\u0165 se kupovala od spole\u010dnost\u00ed, kter\u00e9 vyr\u00e1b\u011bly prav\u00fd absint, a jednalo se o destila\u010dn\u00ed zbytek, kter\u00fd se na kvalitn\u00ed alkohol nepou\u017e\u00edval. Tento fale\u0161n\u00fd n\u00e1poj byl v\u0161ak n\u011bkolikan\u00e1sobn\u011b levn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e origin\u00e1ln\u00ed a proto se zanedlouho stal obl\u00edben\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e v\u00edno.Spr\u00e1vn\u00e9 pod\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed absintuPro pit\u00ed tohoto n\u00e1poje byly vytvo\u0159eny speci\u00e1ln\u00ed sklenice, kter\u00e9 ukazovaly m\u00edru alkoholu a vody. Alkohol se zal\u00e9val studenou vodou a\u017e do kaln\u00e9ho zabarven\u00ed.
